DGP in Berhampur on two-day visit, opens cyber police station

Bhubaneswar: Director General of Police (DGP) Dr Rajendra Prasad Sharma today arrived in Berhampur today on a two visit to Ganjam and Berhampur police districts. Today he inaugurated a cyber police station in Berhampur in the presence of senior police officials.

During the two-day visit the DGP will also inaugurate the new SDPO office building in Berhampur, Baidyanathpur police station, a guest house for IPS officers at Gopalpur and Reserve Police barrack in Chhatrapur.

Sources said the DGP will hold meetings with the city and district police officers as well as officers of the southern range and review the overall law and order situation. Senior police officials, including the SPs of 10 southern Odisha districts will attend.
