Congress to distribute leaflets on Kunduli incident in city

Bhubaneswar: The Congress SC Cell will take to the street in the capital city against the alleged 'insensitive' attitude of the State Government in the Kunduli gangrape and subsequent suicide by the victim cases, informed Cell chairman and MLA Krushna Chandra Sagaria this morning.

Sagaria said party activists would distribute leaflets in populated areas like railway stations, bus stand and colleges making people aware of how the Kunduli victim committed suicide without getting justice from the State administration.

'The State Government is trying to suppress the incident. It has taken pleas of announcing probes, which are of no use. The Government declared for a court-monitored SIT probe on February 7 but yet to send a request letter to the court. We will keep informing people the insensitiveness of the State Government in providing justice to family of the Kunduli victim even after her death,' said Sagaria.
