Amit Shah plans April visit to Odisha to strengthen BJP

Bhubaneswar: BJP national president Amit Shah will visit Odisha in April this year, informed party's State unit president Basant Panda here today.

Although the dates of Shah's visit have yet to be finalised, Panda said Shah will visit the State in first or second week of April.

Panda said Shah is likely to address public meeting interact with party leaders during his visit.

The proposed visit of Shah assumes significance particularly after the party candidate Ashok Panigarhy was defeated in the Bijepur Assembly by a huge margin of around 41,000 votes from ruling BJD's Rita Sahu.
