Half burnt body of Govt official found in forest; Murder suspected

Jeypore: Tension prevailed in Dangara village under Borigumma police limits in Koraput district today after a half burnt body of a Cluster Resource Coordinator (CRC) was found in a nearby forest.

The deceased has been identified as Sandeep Seal of Ambaguda village. The deceased's family members said that Sandeep had been missing since yesterday.

The incident to fore this morning after locals spotted Sandeep's bike lying beside the road. Guessing something mysterious, they searched in the nearby forest and found the CRC's half burnt body.

On being informed, police rushed to the spot and started an investigation into the incident.

Though the exact reason behind the death is yet to be ascertained, it is suspected that some miscreants took him inside the forest and killed him before setting the body on fire.
