Normal life hit after 12-hour Bandh in Daringbadi

Kandhamal: Normal life came to a grinding halt at Daringbadi in Kandhamal district following a 12-hour bandh called by Gramya Hindu Debottar Committee on Monday.

The panel is protesting the district administration's decision to pull down a Durga Puja mandap at Chari Chhak in Daringbadi.

'We peacefully request the district administration to withdraw its decision to raze the Durga Puja mandap. If our request remain unheard, we will be compelled to intensify our stir', said a member of Daringbadi Traders' Association.
