Odisha BJP to 'chargesheet' BJD Govt over 36 corruption cases, releases booklet

Bhubaneswar: Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to State, the Odisha BJP has decided to reach out to people with a list of allegations against Naveen Patnaik Government citing 36 instances of corruption.
BJP State unit president Basanta Panda today released a booklet highlighting the instances of corruption including Rs 22,901 crore chit fund scam, Rs 20,000 crore MNREGA scam, Rs 22,000 crore forest land scam and Rs 59, 000 crore mining scams.
'Corruption and scam is now all pervasive in the State. We will reach out people and highlight the multi thousand crore corruption committed by the ruling BJD. It would bring out a chargesheet against the Naveen Patnaik Government listing 36 instances of major corruption, including the multi crore mining and chit fund scams,' said Panda.
Chargesheet would list the cases of corruption of the BJD government in its last 18 years of rule, said Panda.
PM Modi is scheduled to visit Odisha on May 26 and attend a mega public rally at the Bali Jatra ground in Cuttack city to highlight the Centre's achievements in the last four years.
