Noted industrialist Bansidhar Panda passes away

Bhubaneswar: Noted industrialist and founder of Indian Metals and Ferro Alloys Ltd (IMFA), India's largest, fully integrated producer of ferro alloys, Bansidhar Panda passed away at his in Bhubaneswar today.
He was 87.
He was a renowned research scientist. He had chosen Therubali, a remote outpost in the erstwhile undivided Koraput district of Odisha to embark upon his dream and IMFA came into being in 1961.
The Sarala Award for literature and Ekalabya Puruskar for sports which are instituted by IMFA, are recognised as the highest achievements in their respective fields.
