Fisherman Missing After Boat Capsizes In Dam, Rescue Operation On

Malkangiri: The rescue operation to trace one of the two fishermen, who went missing after their country boat capsized in Malkangiri's Satiguda Dam yesterday continued on Wednesday.
While one of the fishermen was rescued yesterday, the other one identified as Purushottam Majhi of Champakhari village in the district is yet to be traced.
The rescue operation jointly launched by police officials, fire personnel and some locals was halted for a few hours today morning because of incessant rain, however, it was resumed later.
The two fishermen who had gone for fishing to the Dam on Tuesday, lost control over the country boat and subsequently drowned.
However, some local fishermen present at the spot managed to rescue one of them and rushed him to a hospital.
'The duo had gone for fishing and due to rain and strong wind, the boat capsized. While one of them was rescued safely, the other fisherman is still missing and rescue operation is on to trace him,' informed a local.
