CM announces one-time honorarium of Rs 20,000 for ASHA workers

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today announced one-time assistance of Rs 10,000 for purchasing umbrella, bicycle and torch light for ASHA workers.Also, the assistance of the ASHA workers has been increased from Rs 10,000 to Rs 20,000.Nearly 47,000 ASHA workers would be benefited in the State.
Accredited Social Health Activist (ASHA) is a trained female community health activist. Selected from the community itself and accountable to it, they are trained to work as an interface between the community and the public health system.
