Four Police Personnel Injured During Group Clash In Bhadrak

Bhadrak: At least four police personnel were injured during a clash between two groups over immersion of idol following completion of 'Khudurukuni Osha' here yesterday evening.
As per reports, tension erupted between the two groups over using Disc Jockey (DJ) sound system during an immersion ceremony of idols near Malda under Bhandaripokhari police limits.As the situation turned violent, police intervened to pacify the irate mob and resorted to mild lathi-charge during which four police personnel deployed at the spot sustained injuries when the members of the groups pelted stones at them.
The injured cops identified as Brundaban Panda, Ashwini Das and Sanjay Giri have been admitted to Bhandaripokhari Community Health Centre.Nobody has been arrested in connection with the incident so far, sources said.
