Miscreants Break Open ATM, Loot Cash In Balasore

Balasore: Miscreants looted an unspecified amount of money from an ATM at Tala Bazaar Market Complex in Santaragadia area of Balasore district after breaking it open with the help of a gas-cutter late on Thursday night.

According to reports, locals first spotted the ATM of Axis Bank vandalized early morning and subsequently informed the police who rushed to the spot and started investigation. It is being suspected that around Rs 10 to 15 lakh might have been looted from the ATM. However, the exact amount of cash stolen from the kiosk will be ascertained after a detailed investigation, said sources. Police examined the CCTV cameras installed inside the ATM and around the kiosk.
