Tension In Binika After Tractor Mows Down Teacher

Sonepur: Tension prevailed near Binika hospital after a teacher was mowed down by a tractor near Nirmala Chhaya chhak on Thursday.The deceased identified as Murari Mishra, a teacher of Ulegaon village was returning home last night when the mishap occured. Mishra, who sustained multiple in the accident, was rushed to Binika hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Demanding compensation for the family of the deceased, locals sat on a dharna in front of the hospital. The locals have also demanded immediate arrest of the tractor driver who is absconding after the incident.Even though Sonepur SDPO and other officials reached the spot and tried to pacify the irate locals, the protest is still continuing today.  As a result, hundreds of vehicles have been stranded due to the agitation on MDR 39 road in the area.
