J-K: Encounter breaks out in Kulgam, 2-3 terrorists believed to be trapped

An encounter broke out between terrorists and security forces in Kulgam district of Jammu and Kashmir. 2-3 terrorists are believed to be trapped.

According to reports, the top commander of Al Badr Zeenat Ul Islam is believed to be trapped in the encounter.The security forces launched a cordon and search operation after receiving a tip-off about the presence of militants in the Katpora area of Yaripora in the south Kashmir district.A police official told PTI that the search operation turned into an encounter after the militants fired upon the forces.
