Naba Das Quits Congress, Likely To Join BJD On January 24

Bhubaneswar: Putting all speculations to rest, Jharsuguda MLA Naba Das today resigned from the primary membership of Congress and from the post of working president of Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC). Das is likely to join the ruling- BJD during the visit of chief minister to Jharsuguda on January 24.In his resignation letter submitted to AICC president Rahul Gandhi, Naba Das has stated that he has no qualms with PCC president Niranjan Patnaik as he shares a coordial relation with him.'The people and voters of my area want that I should contest the next 2019 election from BJD as they want our area should develop. I will place all these suggestions before Odisha CM and BJD chief Naveen Patnaik's scheduled visit to Jharsuguda on January 25,' wrote Das.

On the request of public and voters, I have decided to resign from the Indian National Congress with primary membership and from the post of working president of PCC.'I appologise for this resignation, as done so for the motto i.e development first,' wrote Das in his resignation letter.
