Odisha Effects Reshuffle In IPS Cadre; Sunil Roy Appointed Special DG Intelligence

Bhubaneswar: Ahead of the general elections, Odisha government today effected a major reshuffle in the IPS cadre and promoted Sunil Roy to the rank of special director general (DG) of police (Intelligence). At present, Roy is posted as director, Intelligence.

As per the notification issued by the Odisha Home Department, Binayanand Jha has been appointed ADGP and director Investigation, OHRC while Human Rights Protection Cell (HRPC) ADG, Mahendra Pratap has been appointed ADG-cum-IG of Prisons and Directorate of Correctional Services.IG Law and Order, Amitabh Thakur has been appointed IG Special Armed Police; DIG Crime Branch S. Shyni has been promoted to the rank of IG and posted at Biju Patnaik State Police Academy.
