Suryakiran crash: One pilot dies

Bengaluru: Two Suryakiran aircraft of the Indian Air Force (IAF) crashed in Yelahanka air base in Bengaluru killing one pilot on Tuesday.

The crash occurred when two aircraft collided head-on during a rehearsal. While two pilots ejected safely, a third pilot suffered fatal injuries. The aircraft were a part of the aerobatic display team.'Three pilots were occupants. Two pilots ejected and have been evacuated to the Command Hospital. The third pilot sustained fatal injuries,' an updated tweet said.
