CHSE Plus II examination begins today

Bhubaneswar: The annual Plus II examinations, conducted by the Council for Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) in Odisha commenced today.As many as 3.69 lakh students are appearing at 1,091 examination centres across the State.

Students of Science and Commerce streams appeared for MIL (Odia) paper today, while students of Arts stream will appear for the same tomorrow.Question papers were taken to the examination centres from the Examination Management Hubs (EMHs) at 9:30 am.While examination centres have been put under the Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) surveillance to keep a vigil on malpractices during the examinations, 140 centres have failed to install CCTV cameras.

Electronics gadgets, including wristwatches, smart watches and mobile phones are strictly prohibited inside the examination centres during the examination.The council has also adopted heavy security measures around the examination centres in the insurgent-hit areas of the state in order to avoid any untoward incident.The examination will conclude on March 31. The practical examinations of the students have already been concluded in February.
