Congress Names Six LS, 36 Assembly Candidates

Bhubaneswar: A day after the ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) announced its first list of candidates for the Lok Sabha and Assembly polls, Congress announced names of candidates for six Lok Sabha seats and 36 Assembly Constituencies late last night.

The six Lok Sabha candidates are:

Notably, simultaneous elections will be held in Odisha for 21 Lok Sabha seats and 147 Assembly Constituencies in four phases on April 11, 18, 23 and 29.The last date for filing nominations is March 25 while verification of the nomination papers will be held on March 26. The last date for withdrawing nominations is March 28.
