Bhubaneswar: A gazette notification for the second phase polls in Odisha was issued by the office of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) here on Tuesday.According to the notification, polling will be held for five Lok Sabha and 35 Assembly constituencies in the State will go to polls in the second phase scheduled on April 18.
Polling in the second phase will be held in Bargarh (General), Sundargarh (ST), Bolangir (General), Kandhamal (General) and Aska (General) constituencies.Elections to be held in the 35 Assembly constituencies are-Padampur, Bijepur, Bargarh, Attabira (SC), Bhatli, Brajarajnagar, Jharsuguda, Talsara (ST), Sundergarh (ST), Biramitrapur (ST), Raghunathpali (SC), Rourkela, Rajgangpur (ST), Bonai (ST), Biramaharajpur (SC), Sonepur, Loisingha (SC), Patnagarh, Bolangir, Titilagarh, Kantabanjhi, Baliguda (ST), G Udaygiri (ST), Phulbani (ST), Kantamal, Boudh, Daspalla (SC), Bhanjanagar, Polsara, Kabisuryanagar, Khallikote (SC), Aska, Surada, Sanakhemundi and Hinjili.
The polling will be held from 7 am to 6 pm. Candidates can file their nominations for the second phase polls from today (Tuesday). The last date of filing nominations is March 26 and the last date for withdrawing nominations is March 29, the notification stated.
