BJD announces candidates for 18 assembly constituencies

Bhubaneswar: The ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) fielded sitting MLA Maheswar Mohanty from Puri Assembly constituency and Debashis Samantaray from Cuttack- Barabati.

BJD supremo and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today announced candidates for 18 assembly seats for the upcoming elections.The party has nominated Chandrasarathy Behera to contest the elections from Sadar Cuttack while Damodar Rout's son Sambit Routray will contest from Paradip constituency.Similarly, Bishnu Das will represent the party from Tirtol constituency while Dhruba Charan Sahoo will fight the polls from Rajnagar and Amar Satpathy from Barachana.

The other candidates include Parsuram Dhada (Soro), Sanjeev Mallick (Bhadrak), Brundaban Das (Badasahi), Aswini Patra (Jaleswar), Jiban Pradeep Dash (Balasore), Srinath Soren (Udala), Amar Singh Tudu (Saraskana), Sudam Marandi (Bangriposi), Golekh Bihari Nayak (Jasipur), Reena Tanty (Rengali) and Bibhuti Balabantaray (Jatani).
