First Phase Elections: 57 per cent polling till 3.30 pm

Bhubaneswar: Approximately 57 per cent polling has been recorded till 3.30 pm in the four Lok Sabha and 28 Assembly seats, informed Surendra Kumar, the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Odisha.Around 41 per cent polling was recorded till 1 pm in the afternoon.The polling started at 7 am in almost all the booths. However, he said, there was a delay in few polling booths due to technical issues in EVMs, the CEO said.Till now, no untoward incidents have been reported in any constituency in the state, he added.

22 per cent voter turnout was recorded till 11 am in first phase polls in Odisha. As per the official reports, 25 per cent voter turnout recorded in Berhampur, 21 per cent in Nabarangpur, 23 per cent in Kalahandi and 23 per cent in Koraput Lok Sabha segments.
