Rs 42 lakh seized from businessman's car in Puri

Puri: The election flying squad on Monday seized Rs 42 lakh cash from the car of a businessman near Dighala on Konark-Nimapara road.

According to sources, the sleuths of enforcement squad were conducting inspection of motor vehicles this morning when they intercepted a car. During the search, cops found Rs 42 lakh in cash hidden inside the car.Reportedly, police have seized the unexplained cash amount and detained the businessman for further interrogation into the matter. A probe to ascertain the source of money is underway.
