Minor boy held for looting donation box inside Srimandir

Puri: Singhadwar police on Monday arrested a minor boy on charges of stealing donation box from Annadana Attika office inside the Srimandir premises.

Reportedly, Rs 16,361 cash and mobile phone has been seized from the arrested.

Notably, on April 11, a donation box containing lakhs of rupees was stolen from Annadana Attika office inside the Srimandir. During the investigation, a minor boy was found to be involved in the loot.However, the police managed to nab the minor boy on the basis of the CCTV footage.

During the interrogation, the minor boy confessed to the crime and also disclosed to have looted the donation box near Ram temple at Srimandir on April 2.Police have registered a case and produced the minor before Puri Juvenile Justice board today.
