22 lakh rupees gold seized from passengers at Bhubaneswar Airport

Customs officers seized 612 grams of gold worth Rs 22 lakh from two passengers in Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) here on Thursday.

Acting on the Intelligence Report, the mercenaries of the Customs Department stopped two passengers from the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur to the city's airport. During the search, the gold was concealed in a plastic box in the form of a capsule.

Police have started investigation.   Yesterday, people of customs had seized gold worth more than Rs 5 lakh from a passenger at the airport. Passengers living in Uttar Pradesh had landed at the airport from Bangkok.
