Now the arm of these three veterans, Team India's new coaching and support staff command

The Comptroller's Administrator (COA) appointed by the apex court has asked applications for coaching staff of Indian male cricket team. There are reports that CoA can give the responsibility of appointment of coaching staff to Kapil Dev, Anshuman Gaikwad and Shanta Rangaswami. Talking to IANS, an official of the BCCI said that although these three have not been formally appointed yet, the discussion on this is on full swing.

The official said, "These people have not yet been formally appointed, but the discussions continue, so it would be hasty to say anything on this issue."One of the three pre-cricketer said, "I can say something about myself only when the process is completed and I will have formal appointment letter in hand."

These three women coach W. V. Raman was appointed, but this happened when Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly and VVS. Laxman's Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) had refused to appoint a coach and had sought clarification from the COA regarding his responsibilities. These three did only when the three members of the CAC had raised the issue of conflict of interest over joining the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchisees as a member of the CAC. BCCI's Lokpal D.K. Jain is looking at this issue. If Ed Hock will appoint the Chief Coach of the Indian Men's Team, then the BCCI Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Rahul Johri will appoint other supporting staff, which will be according to the new constitution.
