Ship Catches Fire In Vishakhapatanam

Vishakhapatnam :   All the 29 crew members jumped into a river  from a ship to save their lives as fire engulfed an offshore support vessel in Visakhapatnam today.

The fire broke out in Offshore Support Vessel Coastal Jaguar at 11.30am today. As per report, there was a loud explosion onboard and then thick smoke emanated from the vessel. There were 29 crew members in the ship. All jumped to the water to save their lives.

The Indian Coast Guard personnel rescued 28 of them and one is missing. The cause of fire is yet to be known. Rescue operation is going on.

Exact cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.

ICGS Rani Rashmoni is coordinating the rescue operation. Local administration has geared up to provide all possible support.
