2.66 lakh Ineligible KALIA Beneficiaries Identified

Bhubaneswar: As many as 2.66 lakh ineligible KALIA beneficiaries have been identified so far, said Agriculture Minister Arun Sahoo  today.

Till date 72 per cent of the scrutiny has been completed. Out of the scrutinized beneficiaries, 2.66 lakh  have been identified ineligible.

Verification of the KALIA beneficiaries in the state is going on.The minister said,nodal officers were engaged at Panchayat, block and district levels for verification. Out of 36.88 lakh verified farmers, 2.66 lakh were found ineligible. The verification will be completed by August 31. It is also instructed to include the genuine left-out beneficiaries in the  list.

Besides, the Panchayat-level nodal officers have been strictly instructed to ensure inclusion of left-out genuine beneficiaries and strictly check the fake ones.

On August 6 the state Government had  announced to exclude the fake beneficiaries from list.
