Bhubaneswar, Oct 8: Odisha chief minister Naveen Patnaik wednesday said all preparations are in place to meet any eventuality arising out of the possible cyclonic storm hitting the state's coast.
Patnaik said this after a meeting to review the state's preparedness for the cyclonic storm.
'I reviewed the possible cyclonic storm situation with all the concerned departments. All preparations have been made to meet the situation. All departments have been asked to prepare contigency plan to meet the situation,' said the chief minister after reviewing the possible storm here today.
Sources at the Special Relief Commissioner's office said the arrangements made during the cyclone Phailin have been followed this time as well.
The review meeting also decided to write Election Commission to spare the officers engaged in election duty outside the state and make them available for the disaster preparedness and mitigation exercise.
