Modi announces Rs 1,000 crore Relief Package for Hudhud-hit Andhra

Vizag, Oct 14: Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced Rs 1,000 crore interim relief Package for the cyclone-hit Andhra after taking an aerial review of the state on Tuesday afternoon.

Modi also announced Rs 2 lakh ex-gratia to the next of the kin of those killed in the Cyclone Hudhud and Rs 50,000 for the injured from Prime Minister's Relief Fund.

The cyclone that made landfall in Vizag on Sunday morning claimed 29 lives in Andhra and Odisha.
