Haryana records High Turnout of 72.6%

Hisar, Oct 15: The voting for Haryana assembly seats ended and the state recorded high turnout of 72.6 per cent. Despite disturbances, violence and clashes reported from various constituencies of the state, the turnout in Haryana has exceeded the 2009 voting percentage of 70.

Now the eyes are on the exit polls that will analyse which party may be given the mandate in the state to form the government. While Congress has been claiming to get the majority in the state, BJP is confident of winning the polls. It can be noted that both Maharashtra and Haryana assembly elections are being seen as the first major test of PM Narendra Modi and his popularity after the Lok Sabha polls.
