Odisha Govt to fill 50,000 Posts this Fiscal

Bhubaneswar, Oct 18: In a partial relief to the job seekers in Odisha, the state government has decided to fill 50,000 posts in various departments in the current fiscal.

Presiding over a high-level meeting at the State Secretariat here, chief minister Naveen Patnaik directed the concerned authorities to expedite the recruitment process.

While the CM would review the status of recruitment every two months, the Chief Secretary has been directed to review the meeting every month. The Chief Secretary has also been asked to keep in touch with the Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) to expedite recruitment for the vacant posts in the Odisha Administrative Service (OAS) cadre.

The government has begun the recruitment process for 60,937 vacant posts of which 10,000 posts have already been filled up and the remaining posts will be filled by the end of this current financial year.
