Surya Prasad Mishra appointed as New Advocate General of Odisha

Bhubaneswar, Oct 22: Veteran lawyer Surya Prasad Mishra has been appointed as the new advocate general of Odisha on Tuesday. The post was lying vacant following the resignation of the former AG Ashok Mohanty, who is under the CBI scanner in connection with AT group chit fund scam.

Mishra, who is also the incumbent president of the Orissa High Court Bar Association, said that he will meet the expectations of the state government and people.

The senior lawyer, who has a long legal career with the experience in both High Court and Supreme Court, is confident enough to deliver his duties efficiently as the AG of Odisha government.
