Indian Railway launches NTES App for Android for Train Enquiry

New Delhi, Oct 23: The Indian Railway has launched a mobile application NTES (National Train Enquiry System) on Android platform that will help the passengers to track the train schedules. The app is available for free download on the Google India Play Store.

With the launch of this app, public will not face any difficulty in getting train information particularly the arrival and departure timings of a particular train. The app was launched by Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS), an IT wing of Railway, has been trying to serve the people with several other apps. Earlier, the body had launched a mobile app for windows 8 platform in August 2014.

The app NTES features train schedule, trains between stations, live station and information on cancelled rescheduled & diverted trains. The app is the most comprehensive system which provides information to public about train running on near real time basis through various interfaces like nationwide unique rail enquiry number 139, website (www.trainenquiry.com), mobile interfaces, Touch Screens, counter enquiry and display boards at stations.
