BJP run by Tainted Leaders in Odisha: Ashok Sahu

Bhubaneswar, Oct 24: Few hours after senior BJP leader was suspended from the party on Thursday on disciplinary ground, he hit back at the party leadership in Odisha saying, the party could have issued suspension order after his reply over the allegations against him was proved.

"If you give the show cause notice, you could have deferred the suspension by seven days till my reply over the contentious issue reached you. I will certainly lodge my complaint with the central leadership over the issue", Sahu told to media.

He said that the state BJP is run by some tainted leaders and he would take the matter to the central leadership, questioning on state party president KV Singhdeo and his style of functioning the party.

He again blamed the state party leadership for the poor condition of the BJP in the state. "The front-ranking leaders of the party are responsible for the status and condition of thr BJP in the state. Many corrupt former ministers of the party, be it Manmohan Samal, Samir Dey, Jaynarayan Mishra and the state president KV Singhdeo are responsible for the disastrous situation in the party," he said.

Lashing out at Singhdeo, he said, “I have not broken party’s discipline, will talk to Central leaders. He (Singhdeo) may be a member of the Balangir royal family, but I am not his servant. KV is a leader of weak personality," Sahu alleged.

Sahu, who is also known for his free frank statement over any issue, said that the party leadership has to pay a price for suspending him. By suspending him, the tainted leaders had set fire on Hanuman tail that will resulted in destruction of the Swarna Lanka.
