Bhubaneswar: A total of 30 migrant labourers were rescued on Friday by Nuapada police while being trafficked to Karimnagar of Andhra Pradesh to work in brick kilns.
The labourers including women and children were kept in a house of an agent in Simelpalli village under Komana police limits. Acting on a tip-off, cops raided the house and rescued the workers who hail from Bargarh district, said police sources.
A case has been registered regarding this with Komana police. However, the agent has been on the run.
