Winter Session of Parliament to start on Nov 24

New Delhi, Oct 27: The Cabinet Committee on Parliament Affairs on Monday decided the dates of the winter session of Parliament that will start from November 24 and conclude on December 23.

The session will have a total of 22 sittings where key bills like Constitutional Amendment Bill for Goods and Services Tax and the pending Insurance Bill will be discussed and passed.

This will be the second major session of the ruling BJP after prime minister Narendra Modi assumed the office this year. The session may witness discussions on some issues for which both the houses could be stalled by the opposition.
