Govt Medical College to be set up in Remuna

Balasore, Oct 29: In a continuous effort to make Odisha people happy after general elections, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik now aims at the coastal people in Balasore by laying the foundation stone for the much-awaited Government Medical College and Hospital at Remuna in Balasore. The medical college was the long-standing demand of the district.

The admission for the medical courses will start from 2016-17. Patnaik also announced a Rs 60-crore assistance for infrastructure development in the Balasore District Headquarters Hospital (DHH).

Patnaik also inauguarted the regional Krushi Mahotsav at the ITI Square. Addressing the farmers, Patnaik his Government would fulfill his party's poll promises soon. He said irrigation facilities would be provided to more 10 lakh hectares of land in the region in five years.

Health and Family Welfare Minister Atanu Sabysachi Nayak, School and Mass Education Minister Debi Prasad Mishra and Agriculture Minister Pradeep Maharathy were also present on the occasion.
