Bus Fare reduced by 1paise per km in Odisha

Bhubaneswar, Oct 29: Odisha government on Wednesday reduced the bus fare by 1 paise per km for ordinary and express buses and 2 paise per km for deluxe and deluxe AC buses. The cut prices became effective from today, said the state Transport minister Ramesh Majhi.

After the reduction in bus fare, the passengers will pay 63 paise per km in ordinary and 66 paise in express buses. Similarly, in deluxe buses passengers will have to pay 87 paise per km and Rs 1.06 per km for Deluxe AC.

The government decided to cut the prices following the fall in diesel prices by Rs 3.63 per litre in the country.
