Relief to Prakash Mishra, HC directs Vigilance to submit Case Diary

Cuttack, Oct 29: In a partial relief to former DGP Prakash Mishra in a vigilance case, Orissa High Court on Wednesday directed the state vigilance department to submit the audit report and case diary.

The court made it clear that no further action can be taken against Mishra until further orders. The next hearing would be on November 19.

The case against Mishra would not be a hurdle for his future appointment, the court added.

The hearing comes on a petition filed by Mishra in the high court seeking the vigilance case against him to be quashed.

It should be noted that the state Vigilance department on September 25 had registered a case against Prakash Mishra for alleged financial irregularities in purchase of cement and rods during his tenure as CMD of Odisha State Police Housing and Welfare Corporation (OPHWC).
