New Delhi, Oct 29: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday urged Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung to call an all-party meeting at the earliest over government formation in Delhi.
Kejriwal asked the Lieutenant Governor to take a final decision by this evening and inform the Supreme Court tomorrow, while criticising him, saying the latter is desperate to make sure that the BJP forms the government in Delhi.
The former Delhi chief minister looked quite confident that his party would get the majority if fresh polls are held in Delhi.
As the deadlock still continues, there are reports coming from other sources that the Centre may opt for fresh Assembly elections in Delhi if no party is in a position to form the government in the national capital in the present circumstances.
A top government functionary said the Home Ministry will wait for a report from the Delhi Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung on his efforts on exploring the possibility of government in Delhi.
