Big B sweeps Streets for Swachh Bharat Campaign, Modi praises

Mumbai, Oct 30: After finishing up the grand finale for "Kaun Banega Crorepati" (KBC) season 8, mega star Amitabh Bachchan participated in the Swachh Bharat drive, introduced by prime minister Narendra Modi on Gandhi Jayanti in the country.

Big B picked up the broom to sweep the streets of Mumbai for Swachh Bharat campaign. He took to Twitter, saying, "T 1659 - The 'Swach Bharat Abhiyaan' .. personalised !! Let every one deserve to be involved .."

"T 1659 - And before the finale .. it was 'Swach Bharat Abhiyaan' .. went on the streets and broomed and collected dirt to clean up the place", he tweeted.

The move earned him praises from PM Modi, who expressed his pleasure through microblogging site. "Who wont get inspired when @SrBachchan himself wields the broom &joins Swachh Bharat Mission! Very significant effort", Modi tweeted.
