Cuttack, Oct 31: Orissa High court pulled up the state government over the delay in shifting of the Ravenshaw Junior College campus to another location in Cuttack and the repair and renovation of the buildings in the Ravenshaw University.
The court gave two weeks to the government to take the decision in these matters.
A division bench of the court comprising Chief Justice Amitava Roy and Justice AK Rath directed the government on Thursday while hearing on two petitions filed by Sahanshu Sourav and Abinash Mohanty.
Ia a petition, Sourav told the court that the seven acres of land provided by the state government for the Ravenshaw Junior College was not adequate. He said that the location for the college at Jobra is not convenient for an educational institution and the government should find an alternative location for the college.
Another petition filed by Abinash Mohanty sought court order to the government to repair and renovate the unsafe buildings in the Ravenshaw University campus.
