70 Acres Land of 3 Chit Fund Firms taken under Govt Possession

Bhubaneswar, Oct 31: In a major move, Odisha government on Friday took over 70 acres of land, belong to 3 chit-fund firms, under the Orissa Protection of Interest of Depositors Act, 2011 following the court order.

The state government took 40 acres land of Sai Pragati, 14 acres of AT Group, 5.5 acres of Shastra, flour mill of Seashore under its control.

Earlier, the government had taken over 8 acres of land owned by one chit fund company at Sindurapali, while over 4 acres of land. 2.2 acres at Gadagadapalli and 1.9 acres at Govindapur in the same tehsil, belong to another chit fund group, were taken under its possession.
