Five Hudhud-Hit Districts get Funds for House Building

Bhubaneswar, Nov 01: Odisha government has released funds to the five districts affected by the severe cyclonic storm Hudhud as assistance for the people whose houses have either been damaged in the disaster.

The funds were released to the affected people of five districts - Gajapati, Raygada, Nabarangpur, Malkangiri and Koraput. The funds have been transferred to the accounts of the district collectors of these five districts through RTGS.

The severe cyclone that hit coastal Andhra on Oct 12 battered the southern part of Odisha. Gajapati district was the worst hit in the cyclone for which it received the highest amount of financial assistance Rs.4, 89,75,800 crore followed by Koraput Rs.2,99,89,200 crore, Rayagada- Rs.1,84,92,600 crore, Malkangiri Rs.1,19,52,700 crore and Nabarangpur Rs.30,71,900 crore from the government.
