Naveen urges Partymen to prepare for Cooperative Polls

Bhubaneswar, Nov 04: Chief Minister and BJD president Naveen Patnaik asked his partymen to prepare for the upcoming cooperative elections scheduled on January 18 and 25 next year.

Inaugurating a workshop at Bhubaneswar Panthanivas on Monday, Patnaik urged his BJD leaders to work sincerely and ensure a better result in the polls. He asked all his party members to work together and have a vibrant and efficient cooperative network in the state.

Last week, the BJD supremo on had announced 12-member state level coordination committee, headed by senior BJD leader and Athagarh MLA Ranendra Pratap Swain, to oversee the elections on behalf of the party.

The panel comprises other members - Nagendra Pradhan, Prafulla Samal, Jiban Pradip Das, Bhagirathi Badajena, Rajanikant Singh, Balabhadra Majhi, Debesh Acharya, Rabinarayan Nanda, Sesha Kumar Meher, Umesh Swain, Alekh Choudhury and Girish Das - to work for the polls that will be held for 9,733 primary cooperative societies in the state.
