Modi arrives in Myanmar to attend ASEAN, East Asia Summits

Nay Pyi Taw, Nov 11: Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Myanmar on Tuesday on his three-nation 10-day tour when he will visit Australia and Fiji.

Modi arrived by a special Air India Plane. He was given the ceremonial Guard of Honour after landing in the Myanmarese capital.

"Landed in Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar to a very warm welcome! Great being in this beautiful country", Modi tweeted after reaching there.

He met President Thein Sein and both the leaders talked about strengthening relationship in the fields of culture, business and connectivity.

Taking to Twitter, he said, "Had a very good meeting with President Thein Sein. We had extensive discussions covering various aspects of our bilateral relations" adding "We talked about strengthening ties in the fields of culture, commerce & enhancing connectivity".
