Thai PM lauds "Make in India" Policy at ASEAN Summit

Nay Pyi Taw (Myanmar), Nov 12: Thailand Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha lauded India's "Make in India" policy at India-ASEAN Summit. Appreciating the "Act East" approach, he said, "I fully agree and admire the concept of @makeinindia_ it can drive the economy. Thailand can apply it for its economy too".

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who met his Thai counterpart this morning, invited him to visit India. He expressed confidence that the relations between the two countries will become stronger, congratulating him on becoming the PM of Thailand. "I congratulate you on becoming the PM of Thailand. Am sure our relations will become stronger," PM Modi told Prayut.

Modi, who attended the 12th ASEAN-India Summit here on Wednesday, will also meet heads of state and government of several countries on the sidelines of the multilateral events.
