Task Force submits Report on DQ, Govt yet to Receive

Bhubaneswar, Nov 15: The Task Force appointed by the state government to probe all allotments of govt land and houses under the discretionary quota (DQ)has submitted its report to the government.

However, the Housing and Urban development department is yet to get that report on discretionary quota. While additional chief secretary (Revenue) Taradutt claimed to have submitted the report on Oct 31, Housing and Urban Development Pushpendra Singhdeo on Friday said, "My department is yet to receive the report. I am hopeful that the Task Force will submit its report within the assigned time period".

This raised questions on the transparency of the work done by the three-member Task Force. It has been more than two weeks to submit the report, the Housing and Urban department claimed that they have not received yet.

"Once we get the report we would review its findings and then take action accordingly," said Singhdeo. This statement triggered doubt on the Task Force that claimed to have sent its report to the government.
