Bandh over IIM Demand paralyses Life in Berhampur, Jharsuguda

Berhampur, Jharsuguda, Nov 15: After Sambalpur, the demand for the establishment of proposed IIM intensified in Berhampur and Jharsuguda on Saturday with observation of bandh.

The normal life was badly affected in both the cities with the agitators closed all the business establishments. The government and private offices, colleges remained off today and vehicles were off the roads in two major towns.

The protesters started slogans at the Berhampur stations and few trains were stopped. The bandh call was given by the Forum for IIM in Berhampur. This was supported by many political leaders, even housewives were seen joining the agitation in the silk city.

Similarly, the commercial establishments, schools, colleges, courts and offices remained closed in Jharsuguda, demanding IIM in the city. The buses went off the roads and vehicles were stopped causing obstruction to passengers and commuters.
