Bhubaneswar, Nov 17: The CBI interrogated Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) secretary Ashirbad Behera twice on Sunday for his alleged links with the AT Group, a key player in the chit fund scam.
He was questioned along with builder Sagar Ray, who was earlier arrested in connection with the ponzi scam, in the first hour. He was asked about the first season of OPL, which was organised by OCA and sponsored by AT Group. Later, he appeared before the CBI on Sunday at around 5 pm.
It should be noted that Sagar Ray was the owner of an OPL cricket team in the first season. Behera was asked how much money the AT group had invested in the OPL in 2011.
The CBI had raided Behera's house and OCA office in Cuttack and seized some documents on August 17. Later, he was quizzed by the agency that revealed that the OCA had received Rs 1 crore from AT for the tournament.
